There’s nothing like a good trip to the spa to help you clear your thoughts. While many can’t afford to make regular trips to a spa, you can still get the benefits of one at home. Below are some of my secrets to creating the perfect spa day at home.
SOAK IT UP
An absolute must when creating a spa day at home is having a good warm (or hot) bath. The purpose of a spa day is to restore and relax. Baths help us to slow our pace and to relax into the moment. Plus, they can be the perfect muscle soother. I’ve been using the AHAVA Aloe Vera Dead Sea Salt because it’s rich in skin-friendly minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, and potassium. They say soaking in salt baths are also good for clearing your energy.
EXFOLIATE
I swear by my exfoliating shower gloves. They help me scrub off all of the dead skin whether I’m showering or taking a bath. When I realized I wasn’t cleaning my back as well as I should, I invested in a natural skin scrubber.
DELIGHT YOUR SENSES
One of my favorite things about a spa day is that my entire apartment fills with soothing scents. Right now I’m really into the healing smells of eucalyptus. But, you can use any essential oil you like. Peppermint is an invigorating scent, and lavender is calming. And don’t forget that your sense of smell isn’t the only sense you can take care of; for an extra relaxing effect you can enjoy Delta 9 or Delta 8 gummies to get your taste buds tingling and promote an even greater sense of calm.
SUDS UP
I recently splurged on a jar of Moroccan Beldi soap from Kahin Giving Beauty on a recent shopping trip and it’s one of my favorite products at the moment. This soap is made from eucalyptus (can you tell I like eucalyptus?) and saponified olive oil. Don’t let the weird look fool you, this soap is the perfect primer for exfoliation or cleansing.
