I’ve traded in my smoothie bowls for this new breakfast classic. Fresh fruit is always a winner when it comes to healthy diets. This Breakfast Banana Split just makes the fruit way more fun eat! You’ll enjoy how easy this recipe is to make and your children will enjoy helping you with the assembly.
(Makes 2 bowls)
- 2 Bananas
- 1 container of yogurt
- 1/2 c. of fresh berries (any type)
- 1/2 c. of granola
- 1/4 c. of crushed nuts
- 1/2 c. shaved coconut
- 2 Tbsp. real honey
ALSO: Simple Plates | Chocolate Dipped Banana Bites
Peel bananas and then slice them down the middle length wise (see video below). Place one banana in a bowl. If you have a banana split dish, that would work even better. You should have two slices of banana in each dish/bowl.
Stir yogurt until creamy and spoon half the container into the center of the banana slices. Do this for both bowls.
Continue to layer on toppings (using half of the ingredients for each bowl).
Top each bowl with honey drizzle.
