The beginning of a new year always inspires me to get rid of the old and bring in new energy. This year hasn’t been any different. I began the new year by being laid off from a job that I didn’t really like to begin with. And job hunting mercilessly (more on this in a later post). I also managed to find time to raid my closet for oldies to sell. My favorite thrift store to sell gently used clothes is Buffalo Exchange. Its a wonderful collection of used fashion that ranges from current trends to quirky and unique finds. And it never disappoints.
On this particular day I traded in some of my favorite suede A-line skirts that I didn’t really want anymore. I made a few bucks and was able to get this wonderful kimono inspired wrap dress for free! Buffalo Exchange is one of those places that can overwhelm you with clothing options. There are literally racks on racks. So I go through the racks really fast. If I don’t have an immediate emotional reaction (L-O-V-E) to a garment, then it’s not worth buying. This kimono was a M-U-S-T!
It’s 100% cotton, can double as a house robe and is absolutely stunning. I think I’m already in the Valentines day mood because I am loving this floral print. This is the beauty of thrifting, you never know what you are going to find.
Stay tuned for a really cool V-day surprise I have in the works. I’m sooo excited to share this! ITS BIG!
