If you made it through the the first week of SXSW congratulations! The interactive portion kicked off with a bang, and I saw so many fun Instagram posts and videos. I didn’t get out until the weekend so I lived vicariously through everyone else. If you are still standing, then get ready, music week just began! Yesterday on the blog, I featured my OOTD from Liz Alig. The most adorable cotton dress. Perfect for Spring and Summer. And of course it was an ethical fashion selection with proceeds empowering women to get an education and make money to support their families. You cannot beat a fashionable find with an even bigger cause behind it.
For the next three days I’m giving you SXSW style inspo the only way I know how. By raiding the racks of one of my favorite thrift stores here in Austin, Texas – Blue Velvet Boutique! Blue Velvet is hands down my favorite place to find funky eye wear and their fur selection is phenomenal. I don’t condone killing animal for fur but I do promote recycling and wearing vintage whenever possible.
Today’s Look 3.14.17
The moment I tried on this vintage 90’s dress with cutouts I fell in love. This screams festival wear! It’s only $29.99, a size small, and in tip top condition. The leather cross body bag is a great accessory for only $30. Wedges are great because they are comfortable and they allow a short girl like me to enjoy concerts. This entire outfit has me feelin’ all Black Joe Lewis. Like if Black Joe Lewis was a female, he’d totally wear this outfit. Can’t you see it? Stay tuned for more SXSW style inspo! Be sure to follow me on Instgram @MYBROWNSPARKLEZ wear I’ll be snapping picks from all of my SXSW fun!
