For about three months I’ve been eating smoothie bowls practically every morning. Being out of work for a couple of months gave me plenty of time to perfect my recipe. And now that I’m back working, I can easily blend my smoothie in the morning and tote it along with me. Here’s how I create the perfect smoothie bowl!
How to Make the Perfect Smoothie Bowl
So what makes the perfect smoothie bowl? For me it’s not about looks. Nope! It’s all about the consistency, flavor, and the nutrient content. I eat smoothie bowls partially for the convenience and taste, but mostly because it’s a great way to fill my body with antioxidants, fiber, and now even vegetables! The perfect metabolism jump-start. I am not a licensed professional so please consult with your doctor before implementing an new diet changes. I share my personal opinions about diet and food based on my own knowledge and experience (I have a degree in nutrition but I am not licensed).

1/2 c. frozen banana and berry blend (I prefer ripe strawberries)
1/2 a date or date ball (I really like Natural Delights Date Rolls)
1 cup of Coconut Dream Milk
1 Scoop of Kale Powder from Pure Synergy
Semi-sweet dark chocolate chips (because who doesn’t love chocolate?)
Blend the first four ingredients until smooth. Pour into a deep bowl. Top your smoothie bowl with toppings of your choice, I recommend fresh fruit, chocolate chips, granola, coconut flakes, or other healthy options healthy options! Enjoy!

Don’t mind the color, it’s much prettier without the kale powder but the kale adds Vitamin K and counts towards your vegetable serving for the day. So while this isn’t the ‘prettiest’ smoothie bowl, it sure as hell packs a nutritional punch!
